Welcome to Your Chess Journey.
A place to learn, think, compete and grow — one move at a time.
Dear Learner,
A very warm welcome to Ivory Squares Chess Academy. We are delighted to have you take this exciting first step into the world of chess.
Whether you are completely new to the game, discovering your first opening, preparing for your next tournament, or working towards becoming a stronger competitive player, you are in the right place.
Chess is more than learning where the pieces move. It is learning how to think, decide, adapt and grow.
At Ivory Squares, we believe that chess has the power to develop skills that extend far beyond the board. As you learn to calculate variations, recognise patterns and plan ahead, you also develop concentration, patience, logical reasoning, problem-solving and decision-making.
Our approach is built around structured learning and genuine understanding. We don't want you to simply memorise moves. We want you to understand why those moves work, how positions change, and how to make your own decisions with confidence.
Build Strong Foundations
Understand the fundamentals properly and develop a solid base for everything that follows.
Think with Confidence
Improve calculation, pattern recognition and decision-making through practical learning.
Grow Your Game
Progress through a structured path designed around your level, goals and competitive aspirations.
What makes Ivory Squares special is the learning environment we strive to create. Our coaches are here not only to teach, but to guide, encourage and challenge you. Questions are welcome. Mistakes are part of the process. Every game gives you something to learn.
Whether you are a young beginner, a parent introducing your child to chess, or a player preparing for serious competition, your journey matters to us. With consistent practice, thoughtful guidance and the right learning environment, meaningful progress becomes possible.
So take your seat at the board. Be curious. Think deeply. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Try again. And most importantly — enjoy the game.
We look forward to seeing your confidence grow, your understanding deepen and your games become stronger with every lesson.
Thank you for choosing to learn with us.
